LUNA is a wonderful combination of her parents with smooth blending and lovely breed character. I just LOVE this doe! She has stunning conformation with tons of width throughout, a smooth, level topline, and strong feet and legs. Although her coloring may not be as flashy as some of the others, her quality and conformation make you notice her, and her personality is super sweet. Her dam was a very good milker with a wonderfully correct udder. She gave nearly a gallon of milk a day! Her sire also has great milking lines. At 7 years old, Luna's udder is still socked on TIGHT with excellent attachments, medial and has a good shape and well placed teats. I couldn't be happier with her udder. She was a slow maturing doe with her milk being slower to come up. Her udder doesn't photograph very well, but you can see some pictures at the bottom of this page. You can also see pictures of her full sister's udder - VERY nice! Luna has done a wonderful job of passing the udders on to her daughers. Her daughter Lady is one of our best milkers with a near perfect udder. Below is a picture of Luna and Lady together before milking in 2018. Luna is 7yrs old in this picture and Lady is 6. Both have had their udders hold up very well with strong medials and high, wide rear udders. Both have nice foreudders as well.

Luna's 2nd freshening udder, not clipped and only 10 hours of milk. Her udder still does NOT photograph well - it looks so much better in person. The whited out one shows her capacity better - I think her udder is so wide that it makes it look small when you don't see the whole goat.

FINALLY, some pictures that start to show how nice her udder is!!! These pictures were a week or so after the others. Still only about 10 hours of milk...

Wow, hard to believe I haven't posted pictures of Luna since 2013! Luna has aged very gracefully. Her udder has held up INCREDIBLELY well, just like her granddam Trillium. Here she is with her LGD Caesar in 2018 at 7yrs old.
